Recall Class

This recall class is designed to teach you multiple methods to achieve your recall.  It incorporates a wide variety of techniques and tools as well as distractions as they progress.

The first few weeks are on lead as you learn the basics and then it progresses to off lead training in a fully enclosed venue.  For Venues that are not fully fenced we still utilise a 20m lead for safety.

Any tools that are used during the class are able to be purchased, this includes a remote Vibrate Only collar with 100 levels of vibrate and a 1000m distance ($150)

What you will learn -

* Why does recall fail so often? 

* What are the drives and reasons the dog ignores you and how does the environment impact this?

* Does you dog trust you enough and want you enough to ignore distractions behind them.

* Teaching your dog to check in with you at a distance that makes hearing hard and needs to be visual.

* Teaching your dog to focus on you without being told too.  Both close and at a distance.

* Techniques to engage different drives in the dog to shape great recall.

* How to use a multi level vibrate collar to communicate over distance to achieve your recall.

* Real live practice around other dogs and distractions safely.

It is important that your dog is dog friendly and not selective or reactive.  If you are unsure please contact the office.  Our Albany Creek Venue is the safest as it is fully enclosed and we have the ability to separate dogs during the off lead component.
